New Automatic Laminating Machine Installed at Vietnam Factory

We’re pleased to announce that on 15 May 2025, our Vietnam factory successfully installed a new automatic laminating machine as part of our ongoing production improvement efforts.

Just one day later, on 16 May, we conducted test operations in the morning and began full-scale production in the afternoon. During the initial trial run, the machine reached an impressive processing speed of up to 58 meters per minute (equivalent to 138 sheets per minute) — an excellent start for a brand-new machine.

This newly installed laminator is capable of running at a maximum speed of 60 meters per minute. Thanks to the skill and dedication of our operators, the machine performed near peak capacity even during its first production run. Achieving such stable, high-speed output right from the beginning is a testament to the experience and technical expertise of our production team.

Previously, our Vietnam factory relied on manual lamination. Depending on the size of the sheets, two operators could produce around 8,000 sheets per day. With the new automated system, not only can the operation be managed by a single person, but we estimate a capacity of 24,000 sheets per day — three times the previous output.

Even more impressively, based on yesterday’s actual performance, we now see the potential for over 50,000 sheets per day. This result exceeds expectations and opens the door to significant productivity gains.

It’s also worth noting that PP lamination has traditionally been outsourced in Japan due to a lack of in-house equipment. By localizing this process in Vietnam, we can now offer faster turnaround times, delivering even greater value to our Japan-side operations and clients.
